Turn TikTok and Instagram recipes into a shopping list

You saved the video weeks ago. Now you are in the supermarket, scrolling to find the ingredients. Paste the link into GroceryPlannr instead, and we write the recipe out for you: ingredients, amounts and steps.

What you can save

TikTok videos, Instagram reels, YouTube and Shorts where the recipe is spoken, shown on screen or written in the caption. Recipe websites work too, and so do screenshots and photos of cookbook pages.

From video to shopping list

  1. Paste the link. We read the video and write out the ingredients and the method.
  2. Give it a quick look. A computer does the reading, so check the amounts before you shop. The original video is one tap away.
  3. Put it on a day. Its ingredients join this week's shopping list, added together with everything else you are cooking.

When a video cannot be read

Private posts, videos with no recipe in them, and apps that block automated reading will not work. Take a screen recording or a few screenshots and upload those instead. If we cannot read a recipe, you do not pay for it.

Questions

Does it cost anything?

Planning, the shopping list and recipes from our recipe book are free. Saving recipes from links, videos and photos uses recipe saves: you get 2 free, then £4.99 a month for as many as you like, or £1.99 for 5 more.

Can I upload screenshots instead?

Yes, up to 12 at once, or one screen recording. Photos of a few different recipes are saved as separate recipes.

Do I need the TikTok or Instagram app?

No. Copy the link from the app's Share button and paste it into GroceryPlannr in any browser.
