GroceryPlannr is a grocery and meal planner for UK home cooks. Save recipes from any website, TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, plan the week's meals, and get one combined shopping list with a link to find each item at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda or Waitrose.
Planning meals and doing the weekly shop take time and money. We make both easier, in three steps:
*Tested over 6 months with 20 families of 2 to 6 people who used a range of meal kits. Average weekly saving from buying the same meals from a supermarket instead, adjusted for calories.
Tell Remy what you fancy, the way you would tell a friend. Remy will ask a couple of questions, then look through your saved recipes and find a few new ones online. We open each one first, so you only see real recipes.
List what is in the fridge and cupboard, and mark what needs using up. We spot them on your shopping list so you do not buy them twice, and show which recipes you can mostly make already.
Share a link. They tick things off on their phone and you see the ticks appear. Neither of you needs an account.
One step at a time in big text, split into short points with the ingredients underlined. Timers are one tap away, and the screen stays on while your hands are messy.
Also: Ingredient swaps, Servings that scale, Nutrition per serving, Breakfast to snacks, Collections, Metric or cups.
Most recipe websites, and TikTok, Instagram and YouTube videos where the recipe is spoken, shown on screen or written in the caption. Now and then a video app blocks us. If that happens, take a screen recording or a few screenshots of the video and upload those instead, and we will read them just the same.
Reading a recipe from a link, video or photo takes some computing, so free accounts get a couple to try. Some recipes are always free: ones from our recipe book, ones you type in yourself, and any recipe someone else has already saved from the same link. Several recipes in one photo upload count as one.
Yes, if you want to. Mark any planned recipe as breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack, and add every-day items like an apple a day. They show on the right days, and the right amount goes on your list. If you only plan dinners, just ignore it.
Then you do not pay for it. When we can, give the ingredients a quick look before you shop, because a computer is doing the reading. The original recipe is always one click away.
Not automatically. Supermarkets do not let outside apps fill a basket. Each item on your list can open a search at Tesco, Sainsbury's, Asda or Waitrose, or you can print the list and take it with you.
Remy is your cooking friend in GroceryPlannr. Tell Remy roughly what you fancy, and Remy will ask a couple of questions, then look through your saved recipes and find a few more online. We open each one first to make sure there is a real recipe there. Remy's ideas come from AI, so have a look before you commit. Asking is free. Saving a recipe you find there uses one of your recipe saves, unless someone has saved it before.
The same planned week, without the box. You choose any recipe, from any website, video or your own, and the ingredients go on one list for your normal supermarket shop, at supermarket prices. Kept old meal-kit recipe cards? Photograph them and cook them again. In our test, the average family saved over £60 a week by buying the same meals from a supermarket instead (6 months, 20 families of 2 to 6 people, a range of meal kits, adjusted for calories). Your saving depends on what you cook and where you shop. GroceryPlannr is independent and not linked to any meal-kit company.
Yes, two ways. Send them a list link and they can tick things off from their phone without an account. Or invite them to your household, and you share recipes, plan and list, each with your own login.
Yes, in your phone's browser, and you can add GroceryPlannr to your home screen like an app. There is no separate app to download yet.
You do. Download all of it, or delete your account and everything in it, from Settings whenever you like.
